This DIY fireplace was up on youtube doesn’t seem to be now; notice the chimney is low ... With a slanted roof and a small cabin you can likely do it same, good for cleaning the chimney out using a brush or sticks. Has to be done now and then. This one is open hearth style. Skip the plywood just line it up nice when building. Mortar is just cement. You can use clay in a pinch. But cement is cheap under $25 for 88 lbs at a hardware store. Needs water to mix.
